INNOVATION AND TECHNICAL PROGRESS: BENEFIT WITHOUT RISK?

About the conference
The 15-th Annual Conference of the SRA-E aims at giving continuation in creating opportunities of meeting and promoting international knowledge sharing in risk assessment, risk management and risk communication in Europe. The conference will highlight industrial risks, innovation and technical progress. Therefore, an additional and specific aim is to create a forum on most actual and common risk topics among industry and authorities. This will be done in the form of a round table discussion and will help representatives of the both to exchange understandings on specific needs and obstacles on their endeavours to achieve safe industrial operation.
The conference topics will mainly deal with the following aspects:

* - This topic will be dealt with in the form of a round table discussion.
The Conference technical programme is structured in parallel sessions and workshops, which will be held over two days. The topics will be treated in invited plenary lectures, selected oral presentations, workshops and poster sessions. Posters will stay on for the whole Conference; authors' presentation will be held during extended lunch break on the first day. The round table discussion on the special topic will take place third day of the Conference. The session will be moderated. Initial short and discussion mobilising presentation will be given by invited speaker from industry.
Participants wishing to present a contribution are asked to prepare an abstract (one page A4 format; detailed guidelines/abstract form is available here as a free text Word template, or here as a protected form prepared in Word). Choose one at your convenience.

The official language of the Conference is English.
Abstracts will be published in one volume prior to the conference. Full papers of outstanding quality will be published in a selected international Journal based on acceptance in a peer review process. Details will be available in due time.
Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia and has around 300.000 inhabitants. It is situated in the centre of the country and has good/direct air connections with all European countries. Weather in September in Slovenia is warm and sunny (see photos).
